UNDERFLOOR HEATING CONTROL PACK WITH 6M WILO CIRCULATION PUMP

Suitable for heating loads of up to 15kW, this compact and lightweight control pack is fitted with a 6m Wilo circulation pump and designed for direct connection to the underfloor heating manifold. The unit is supplied fully assembled in a left-hand configuration, complete with standard G1 male swivel connections and flat seals.

Its practical design and union connections allow straightforward manifold installation. As the assembly does not require additional support brackets, the need for extra drilling and fixings is eliminated, helping to make installation quicker and simpler.

The integrated thermostatic mixing valve allows the flow temperature to be adjusted between 35°C and 65°C, making the control pack suitable for a wide range of heating sources. These include oil and gas boilers, wood-burning stoves, solar thermal systems, and ground-source or air-source heat pumps.

Each control pack includes a thermostatic mixing valve, an A-rated Wilo circulation pump, a manifold adapter, and all required seals for connection.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

In water-based underfloor heating installations, the circulation pump and thermostatic mixing valve work together to maintain effective water flow and appropriate operating temperatures. Both components are essential for achieving reliable heating performance and comfortable indoor conditions.

CIRCULATION PUMP

1. MAINTAINING WATER FLOW

The pump circulates warm water through the underfloor heating pipework, moving water from the heat source, such as a boiler or heat pump, through the floor heating circuits. After releasing heat into the room, the water returns to the system to be reheated and recirculated.

2. PROMOTING EVEN HEAT DISTRIBUTION

By keeping water moving through the heating loops, the pump helps distribute heat more consistently across the floor surface. This supports a more uniform room temperature and improves overall heating comfort.

THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVE

1. REDUCING THE RISK OF OVERHEATING

As many heat sources produce water at temperatures higher than those required for underfloor heating, the mixing valve helps lower and regulate the supply temperature. This reduces the risk of excessive floor temperatures and helps protect floor finishes while maintaining comfortable indoor conditions.

2. REGULATING WATER TEMPERATURE

The mixing valve controls the temperature of the water supplied to the underfloor heating circuits. It does this by combining hot water from the heat source with cooler water returning from the system, helping achieve the required flow temperature.

WORKING TOGETHER FOR EFFICIENT HEATING

The circulation pump and thermostatic mixing valve work together to provide reliable water circulation and controlled flow temperatures throughout the underfloor heating system. The pump maintains water movement through the heating circuits, while the mixing valve regulates the supply temperature to suit the system's requirements.
